About

Run Rome The Marathon is the Eternal City's marathon, run each March on a single loop through the historic centre. It starts on Via dei Fori Imperiali beneath the Colosseum and passes the Circus Maximus, the Tiber, Castel Sant'Angelo, St Peter's, Piazza del Popolo, the Spanish Steps and Piazza Navona, with long stretches of sampietrini cobbles underfoot. A Saturday 5K fun run and a four-leg relay run alongside.
