Road 5K starting at the Frank and Sue Jones Amphitheater on North Main Avenue, Newton. The route heads south on South Main Avenue then loops through downtown by way of East B Street, South College Avenue, East 1st Street, North Forney Avenue, East A Street, South Brady Avenue, East O Street, East C Street, South Ashe Avenue and West 2nd Street before turning back onto North Main Avenue to finish.

The Samurai Sprint 5K and Dojo Dash 1 Mile Fun Run is a fundraiser held by Budokan Newton Martial Arts and Sensei's Samurai in downtown Newton, Massachusetts. Proceeds fund the William Alden Elliott Memorial Scholarship, honoring Alden Elliott, who was killed in the line of duty.
