Course
Based at the Premier Resort Sani Pass golf course below the Drakensberg escarpment near Underberg. The 42.2km is a gravel-road out-and-back, climbing 21.1km up Sani Pass to the Lesotho border post before turning for the descent, with about 1,418m of gain through the Maloti-Drakensberg World Heritage Site. A 21.1km down run, 21km and 38km trail events and a 16km gravel race share the venue, starting from 06:00.

Sani Stagger is a festival of running with two road events (42.2km and 21.1km), two trail events (38km and 21km) and a 16km Gravel event. All events take place within the Southern area of the internationally renowned Maloti Drakensberg World Heritage Site and large swathes of this iconic wilderness are traversed.
