Run on the trail network at Raccoon Mountain above Chattanooga. The trails are mostly fast and forgiving with little technical footing, suiting both new trail runners and those chasing a quick time, though the addition of the Live Wire trail has taken away some of the course's old flat-and-fast character.

The Scenic City Trail Race is run on the trail network at Raccoon Mountain above Chattanooga and is organised by Wild Trails, the city's trail protection nonprofit. The route is largely non-technical and forgiving underfoot, which suits first-time trail runners as well as those chasing a fast time.
