An out-and-back on the flat, paved bike path of the Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail. The marathon runs a four-loop out-and-back with only seven turns across the full 26.2 miles. The course is USATF certified and a Boston qualifier.

This out-and-back marathon and half marathon on the paved Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail is a fast Boston Qualifier course, with close to half of runners typically qualifying for Boston. Course records stand at 2:33 (Matt Taddeo) and 2:48 (Katie Nelson) for the marathon, and 1:09 (Alejandro Rivera) and 1:24 (Haley Hasty) for the half.
