Course
A roughly 20 km point-to-point across Tongariro National Park from Whakapapa to Turoa on the Round the Mountain track, with over 1,000 m of vertical ascent. Highly technical underfoot: mud, tussock, alpine streams, waterfalls and vertical rocky terrain through beech forest, herb fields, boulder-strewn rivers and old lava and scoria flows.
