Course
A brutal multi-terrain race starting on Seaton beach and finishing on the Esplanade. Runners head along the coast, climb to Beer Head and drop down a technical stony path into Branscombe, then face a cold river crossing, a mile of beach running and the climb known as the Stairway to Heaven. The 20-mile Grizzly adds steeply cambered hills and the notorious bogs before rejoining the 9-mile Cub route home. Entry is by ballot.
