Course

Point-to-point from Trail Journeys on Springvale Road in Clyde to the Cromwell Heritage Precinct, following the Lake Dunstan Trail through Central Otago. The half marathon starts at Hugo Bridge after a shuttle and boat transfer across the lake; the 10km starts at Carrick Winery by the Bannockburn Inlet and loops through vineyards before joining the trail. The trail stays open to cyclists and walkers outside the gorge sections.

The Lake Dunstan Trail Marathon covers 42.2km from Clyde to Cromwell via the stunning Lake Dunstan Cycling and Walking Trail. This is a well groomed, firm packed, cycle trail surface, with about 800m of combined elevation over the Marathon course.
