Course

All distances start and finish at Clarens Village Square in the eastern Free State. The 5 km is mostly flat, the 10 km climbs Titanic Rock before a steep rocky descent past a waterfall, and the 21 km follows single-track across the Sky Contour plateau. The 35 km and 50 km mix established single-track with off-track sandstone ridge running. Water checkpoints on all routes.

The Titanic Challenge Trail Run winds through the sandstone mountains around Clarens in the eastern Free State, close to Golden Gate Highlands National Park. Runners choose from five distances up to 50km on trails through this art town's dramatic highland scenery, with the event also supporting local conservation.
