About
The Transfagarasan Marathon is an exclusive invitation-only mountain race in the Carpathian Mountains of Romania. The challenging course covers 1,800 meters of elevation gain along the spectacular Transfagarasan mountain road, starting at Castle 200 (390m) and finishing at Balea Lac glacier lake (2,242m). The route offers breathtaking panoramic views along what some consider the world's most beautiful mountain road.
