The 5K course features one steep incline. A gentler 1.16-mile option visits the park itself, with a half loop around the pond and a stretch down to the creek edge on the nature trail.

Calling all walkers, runners, and skippers! Join the Mecklenburg community parks' 3rd annual 5k event and be part of something good! The course is the same as the last two years, it will feature one steep incline. Your participation will play a vital role in enhancing the park's beauty and fostering community spirit. To keep you motivated the parks most enthusiastic supporters will be stationed along the route to cheer you on and keep you on course. A kids' fun run is also offered.
