Course
A USATF-certified two-lap course starting at the University of Houston campus in Sugar Land and running through the tree-lined Avalon, Riverstone and Telfair subdivisions. Marathoners turn at a marked U-turn before the half-marathon finish to start their second lap. Runners get a full reserved lane; the race runs on a rolling eight-hour schedule from 4:30am.

The "Kickin' Asphalt" races are held annually in Sugar Land, Texas, featuring the USA Fit Marathon, Fort Bend KIA Half Marathon and Simon Spine 5K, drawing runners of all distances out for a winter weekend of racing.
