One loop at sea level from the Plaça de la Marató beside the City of Arts and Sciences: out past the Veles e Vents building and the Marina in the first 5K, the Malvarrosa seafront, then back through the city — Avenida del Puerto, the old town past the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and the Torres de Serranos, the Turia gardens — to the finish on the blue carpet laid across the water at the Museu de les Ciències. About 62 m of climbing in 42.2 km.
