Point-to-point along the Banks-Vernonia State Trail, a dedicated traffic-free rail trail, finishing in Banks. The marathon is USATF certified and a Boston qualifier, with a gentle 7-mile, 400-foot descent into the finish; 23 miles are closed to vehicles. Marathon, half marathon and four-person relay, with buses to the start.

About

Imagine running a beautiful, tree-lined course along the 21-mile Banks-Vernonia State Trail. All events feature a gentle 7-mile, 400-foot downhill into Banks. The marathon, a Boston Marathon qualifier, is run on a point-to-point course, with 23 miles closed to vehicular traffic. The marathon and marathon relay start in Vernonia. The half marathon starts in Stub Stewart State Park.
