Run on the Wabash Trace Nature Trail, a crushed-limestone rail-trail through rolling farmland and tree-lined countryside. The marathon is an out-and-back from downtown Shenandoah; the half runs point-to-point from Imogene to Shenandoah with a bus to the start, and the 10K and 5K start and finish downtown.
