About
This scholarship has been created in memory of Alexxis McKerrow, a caring and compassionate young woman who opened her heart to all. She was truly a gift and a blessing to her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know her. Though her time with us was far too short, the impact she made continue to shine through the love she shared and the lives she touched. The Heart of a Hero Award Scholarship will be awarded to a student(s) who shows true heroism through empathy, acceptance, and everyday kindness and exemplifies the same values Alexxis lived by — compassion, resilience, and the courage to be true to oneself.
