A USATF-certified half marathon starting and finishing at Old Mill Park on the Rappahannock River, running through the residential streets of downtown Fredericksburg on wide paved paths and roads. Mostly flat, with one long climb from mile 5 and a descent at mile 9.

The Fredericksburg Blue and Gray Half Marathon starts and finishes at Old Mill Park, following the Canal Path, Heritage Trail, and city streets through historic Fredericksburg. Founded in 2000, the race is held each December alongside the Battle of Fredericksburg Remembrance weekend.
