Course
Trail courses in Big Ridge State Park, starting and finishing at the Visitor Center on Highway 61 between Norris and Maynardville. The 11-mile runs through steep, often muddy hollows with one especially memorable climb; the 5-mile is shorter over similar ground. Aid and water stations are on course but runners are urged to carry their own. A kids' trail mile starts at 1:30pm ahead of the 2pm main races.

The route delves into long forgotten, mud-slogged crevasses thought to be haunted. The eleven mile course and a shorter five-mile course feature hilly terrain, including one particularly memorable hill on the long course.
