Grasmere Gallop

Course

Part of the Lake District Running Festival based in Grasmere village, which runs across 4-6 June 2027. Trail distances from 5K to a marathon plus a 24-hour ultra; the shorter routes stay on paths around Grasmere lake while the longer courses and the adventure race head onto the surrounding fells. Camping, talks and food vendors run alongside the racing.

About

The Grasmere Gallop is the trail-running centrepiece of the Lake District Running Festival, based in the village of Grasmere. Runners choose from 5K up to a full trail marathon, looping past Grasmere and Rydal Water beneath the surrounding fells.
