Run on trails in the foothills of Mount Laura Reserve, Whyalla. Start and finish is the carpark opposite the McDouall Stuart Avenue and Iron Knob Road intersection, with registration from 5:30pm and a 6:00pm start. Head torches are mandatory. Course shape and aid stations are not described.

The Howling Dog After Dark Trail Run is a night trail event on the Mount Laura Reserve trails at Whyalla, South Australia. Runners choose 6km, 12.5km or 25km, starting from the carpark near the McDouall Stuart Avenue and Iron Knob Road intersection at 6pm. A head torch is mandatory.
