Course
A mountain and forest trail ultra on the Mpumalanga escarpment above Sabie and Pilgrim's Rest. Courses climb steeply from the start then roll across open grassland escarpment and boulder fields, dropping into indigenous rainforest, waterfalls and old gold-mining country. Underfoot is rocky single track with plantation roads, jeep track and soft forest undergrowth.

The Mac Mac Ultra is a trail ultramarathon through the forested mountains of the Panorama Route near Sabie, Mpumalanga, named for the nearby Mac Mac Falls. Distances range from 25km up to a 200-mile event across multiple days.
