Course
A point-to-point run along the Mortimer Trail through the Welsh borderland. The 30 mile ultra starts at Ludlow Castle and the Croft Half at the Riverside Inn, Aymestrey, both finishing at the Burton Hotel in Kington. The route mixes forest, limestone tops, pasture and road across seven checkpoints; there are no shops en route, so runners carry their own food between them.
