Course
A USATF-sanctioned, accurately measured 5K starting and finishing at Trout Pond, with the start staged at Seneca Park's Longhouse shelter. There is one water stop on course and a digital display clock at the finish. A free children's fun run is also held.

The SSGT Javier Ortiz Memorial 5K honors Javier Ortiz Rivera, who was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico, and moved to Rochester, NY, at age 7. He enlisted in the Marines' early entry program after high school, served multiple tours in Afghanistan over 9 years, and rose to Staff Sergeant and Platoon Leader before he was killed by a roadside bomb while on foot patrol.
