Course

Both races start at Kings Pointe Resort and finish at Awaysis Park, staying within the resort area on the shoreline of Storm Lake. The USATF-certified half marathon rarely strays from the water's edge and is primarily flat with little elevation change. The 5K is a loop course that circles back to finish just beyond King's Pointe beach. A two- or four-person relay splits the half marathon.

The Step Up Half Marathon, Relay & 5k features a USATF certified half marathon course along the scenic waters of Storm Lake, primarily flat with little elevation change for a fast run. The 5k is a loop course finishing near King’s Pointe beach, set in the diverse community of Storm Lake.
