Run entirely on unpaved trail from the Fall Creek Falls Overlook Trail at Pikeville, as part of the Tennessee State Parks Running Tour. Runners go at 11:00am, with an earlier 10:00am start offered to walkers and anyone slower than 13 minutes a mile.

Fall Creek Thaw 5.5 Mile run is part of the Tennessee State Park Running tour. This is the 47th year of the State Parks Running Tour, the longest state parks running series in the U.S. It consists of 20 road races, with distances varying from 5 to 13 miles. All races are held on Saturdays from October to March at 11 AM local time in 20 different State Parks, located from Memphis to Kingsport.
