Rasus y Bannau

Course

Circular mountain routes starting and finishing in Brecon town centre and looping through the Bannau Brycheiniog / Brecon Beacons National Park. The courses take in ridge traverses and summits including Pen y Fan, Corn Du, Fan Fawr and Fan Llia, plus forest sections and the waterfall country, almost entirely on established mountain trails and footpaths. Between four and seven staffed checkpoints depending on distance.

Rasus y Bannau, also known as The Beacon Races, sends runners through Bannau Brycheiniog (the Brecon Beacons) National Park in South Wales, with marathon, 40-mile and 100km ultra distances covering the park's mountain trails and ridgelines.
